Chasing Cooper
Sunday at 12:45 PM on the School of Rock Stage
Merging pop, rock and indie elements into a sharp contemporary sound, the band Chasing Cooper is comprised of siblings Alden Skidd (lead male vocals, guitar), Auguste Skidd (lead female vocals, bass), Gabrielle Skidd (electric violin), Georgia Skidd (keyboards, accordion). Chasing Cooper has been described as “one band that is thinking outside of the box” by Bobby Owsinski author of the best-selling book Music 3.0.
Although they have toured nationally, played the NAMM show, have 6 independently released CDs, have appeared on a syndicated weekly TV series, and opened for many major artists; THIS WAS NEVER A PLAN. Their passion to make music is evidenced by their catalog of over 70 original songs they have written, produced and recorded. Their songs communicate a more meaningful message than pop culture typically delivers. The title track off the bands 3rd release in 2008 LIVE LIKE YOU BELIEVE captures the mission of the band.
The young siblings were asked to play music at their church and the next thing they knew they were performing at coffee houses, festivals and finally courted by record labels. Their music has been used on ISHINE Knect the most watched Christian Tween TV show. Since beginning in 2006 (as SiLOam) Chasing Cooper has developed an energetic pop-rock sound characterized by blood harmonies and two strong lead vocalist (male and female). This unique combination does not disappoint. In April 2014 Chasing Cooper independently released their 6th full length CD STARS.
