Camping

Arrival

Our parking staff will help get you situated when you arrive and will guide you to your camping area. Gates open at 8:00AM on Thursday morning and we ask that everyone leave as soon as the music ends on Sunday night. You’ll have enough room to set up a decent size tent and camping area but we ask you to be reasonable and considerate. Please don’t bring more equipment or bigger tents than you need. We do our best to provide car-side camping to everyone with a Weekend Camping Pass and will do our best to try and have everyone be able to drive into the park and pitch your tent next to your vehicle for the weekend. However, sometimes weather or forces beyond our control do not allow the whole site to be car-camped. If this is the case, we can promise that your car will be a close walk to your campsite.

For everyone’s safety, re-entry by vehicle is not permitted. Please plan accordingly and consider alternative ways to come and go from the venue.

Camping / Parking with Multiple Cars

If you’d like to camp with people other than just those riding in your car, please make plans to meet up at a convenient location before you get to the show and caravan to the site with your friends. Please do not make plans to meet at the venue as there is no convenient place near the park to pull over and wait. Upon arrival, you will be directed through ticketing and the vehicle search, then into the camping area. We cannot guarantee all cars that caravan together will be parked together, but we will do our best to try to make it happen for you. Give our ticketing/parking crew a heads up about which other cars you’re with when you arrive. Some camping will be in tree-filled areas, some on the water front, and some on wide open fields. If you want a definite shady spot to set up camp, bring tarps and poles or easy-up tents for your chill zone.

Bathrooms and Showers

Yes, it’s true! We are blessed with clean, portable bathroom and shower facilities! Just don’t forget to bring a towel!

Hot Tip: Most folks shower in the morning. Consider showering later in the day or at night for shorter lines and hotter water

Musical Instruments

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring acoustic instruments even hand drums, however no amplified music is permitted in the camping area.

Absolutely no amplified music is allowed in the camping area.

Generators

Generators are only allowed in the RV area. Regardless of the length or type of vehicle you have, if there is a generator on board, you must be parked in the RV area. It is against code to allow generators in regular camping areas. If your vehicle has a generator on board, you will need to purchase an RV pass. Portable generators are not permitted at Vibes.

Charcoal & Propane Grills

Charcoal grills are permitted at Gathering of the Vibes. You will also be allowed to use propane grills. All propane cylinders must be re-certified 12 years after manufactured date and every 5 years there after (see your local propane dealer for more details). No tanks over 20 lbs will be allowed in. Anyone bringing in a grill must carry a fire extinguisher that is in working order with the gauge in the green zone.

SUPER IMPORTANT! A fire extinguisher must be in any vehicle traveling with propane grills, lanterns, or other flammable liquid fuel.

Lost & Found

Our Camping coordinators have developed an efficient Lost & Found system, which has helped to return hundreds of lost items to the VibeTribe over the years. If you’ve lost (or found!) anything at the event, please stop by Camping Headquarters, fill out a report, and we’ll make every effort to reunite you with your misplaced belongings. After Vibes you can inquire about Lost & Found items at: lostandfound@gatheringofthevibes.com
