What is Gathering of the Vibes’ water policy?
Attendees passing through the North Grove ticketing entrance as Day-Ticket holders may enter with:
1-24 oz sealed water bottle per person may pass through the security check point. No Coolers.
Empty hyrdation packs, or empty water bottles up to 1 gallon, may be brought into the festival and filled at our free filling stations.
If you arrive with an opened container, you will have to empty it, however, there will be free filling stations located in the Food Court.
Attendees walking from the camping areas into general assembly areas may pass through security check points with:
1-24 oz sealed or unsealed water per person. No coolers.
Any non-alcohol beverage purchased from a food vendor may pass through security check points.
Per state law, you cannot bring alcohol into the concert or general assembly areas.
Any container larger than 24 oz needs to be emptied and can be refilled at our free water station (located at the Food Court)
Empty hyrdation, or empty water bottles up to 1 gallon, may be brought into General Assembly and filled at our free filling stations.
What if I just want to set up a blanket in the camping area and sell a few t-shirts?

How do I find directions to the show?
The best directions are on our directions page. They will be posted a couple of weeks before the show. We also have very clear signage from any entry point to Bridgeport.

I’m taking the Port Jefferson Ferry or the Metro Train/Bus to Vibes. Can I get a shuttle from there?
Yes, we will have free Shuttles running from Thursday through Sunday, to and from both the Port Jefferson Ferry and the Bridgeport Transit Center (train and bus). Hours to be posted closer to the event.
I am staying at a hotel. Are there shuttles running to and from the venue?
If you booked a hotel at one of the selections we have on our website, then we will be providing shuttle service for a nominal fee. For $20 per person, you can ride the shuttle from your hotel to the show, as many times as you like all weekend! Here is our “Hotel Page” with info on booking your hotel reservation today.
I am a Bridgeport Resident but I need to drive to the show. Where do I park?
There will be several lots for Day Parking and they all will have shuttle service to and from Vibes. When you get close to the venue, please follow the signs to the Day Parking Lots. No one should have to wait more than 15 or 20 minutes for a shuttle. Shuttles will run from 9:00AM until 4:00AM. Your parking fee will include unlimited shuttle rides for that day.
I am coming just for the day. Where do I park?

I need to leave the venue with my car and drive back in. What is the procedure for this?
Re-entry by car is prohibited. If you must leave the venue, by car or on foot, please leave your wristband on. You will not be allowed back in with a wristband that has been removed, cut, etc. There will be no way to leave the venue by car during the main ingress...I would like to camp in a sober area. How can I do this?
Every year, the Wharf Rats set up a sober camp somewhere in the Family Camping area. This year, we are going to pre-register folks for sober camp. Please send your request to SoberCamping@gatheringofthevibes.com.
What is the difference between Campgrounds, Concert Area, Net Assembly and Festival Grounds?
Campgrounds are the areas where you camp and can only access with a Weekend or VIP Camping Pass. Concert Areas and Net Assembly are where the stages are and are accessible by anyone with the appropriate Day Ticket or Weekend Camping Pass. Festival Grounds is everywhere! While you may bring outside food and beverage into the Campgrounds, you may not bring any outside food or beverages into the designated Concert Areas. Things that are prohibited on the Festival Grounds, are not allowed anywhere! (see Water rules for exceptions)
What if I want to leave Vibes on foot to get more supplies, food, or beer?
You are welcome to leave site as you wish to get more supplies. (On foot is a great choice, we also recommend local taxi-cabs, as leaving and reentering via car is strongly discouraged).
However, please keep in mind, we do not allow outside food, coolers or alcohol of any kind into the general attendee/concert area, this is only permitted in the camping areas. Once you are done with your excursion, if you are camping on the East Side of the festival please enter at North Grove Box office, near the Arches, and go directly into the campground with your cooler or alcohol. Likewise, if you are camping on the West Side, you have to enter on the West. You may either return to the Arches and take a shuttle over or have your taxi-cab driver drop you off at the Mid-West Camping Entrance.
Don’t forget to leave your wristband on! You will not be allowed back in with a wristband that has been removed, cut, etc.
What about open-pit campfires, tiki torches, and chinese lanterns?
For everyone’s safety we cannot allow open-pit campfires, tiki torches or chinese lanterns. You may, however, bring charcoal and/or propane grills and stoves to cook on. They must be accompanied by a fire extinguisher that is valid for 2013. Please see grilling question above.
What are my grilling and/or stove options?
Both charcoal and propane grills are permitted. All propane cylinders must be sized 20 pounds (5 gallons) or less and must be certified. All propane cylinders must be re-certified 12 years after manufacture date and every 5 years thereafter (see you local propane dealer for more details). Any grill or stove must be accompanied by a fire extinguisher that is valid for 2013.
Can I camp Sunday night and leave first thing Monday morning?
Everyone must leave on Sunday evening, after the Main Stage music ends. Sadly, there are no exceptions.
Can I camp with my friends?
Sure! If you want to camp with your friends, you must caravan to the show and drive in together.
Can I camp next to my car?
As much as possible we will try to camp everyone next to their car, space and weather permitting
Can I camp if I’m just coming for one day? I will leave first thing in the morning.
In order to camp even one night at Vibes, you must purchase a Weekend Camping Pass. Single-Day Tickets do not allow access to the campgrounds or the Late Night Stage.
I heard I can get a discounted ticket if I work directly for the City of Bridgeport.
Yes! Employees of the City of Bridgeport receive the exact same offer as Bridgeport residents. Please read the above description for the Bridgeport Resident Ticket. Employees must show their valid City of Bridgeport employee photo ID when they purchase their tickets at the gate. One ticket per ID.
I heard I can get a discounted ticket if I am a veteran or serving in the military. Is this true?
First, thank you for your service. We’re happy you can join us at the Vibes! All veterans with a DD214 and Active Military with current Military ID may purchase tickets at the Bridgeport Resident rate of $75. Please read the above description for the Bridgeport Resident Ticket. Military discount tickets do not include camping, Thursday entry, or access to the Late Night Stage. One ticket per ID please.
What if I just moved to Bridgeport and my ID is not updated yet?
Welcome to the neighborhood! If you just moved to Bridgeport, please present a government issued photo ID along with a utility bill (e.g., CL&P bill, phone bill). The first and last name on your ID must match the first and last names on the utility bill to be sufficient for proof of residency. One ticket per resident.
