Lucy Chapin

Since she started playing out in bars at the age of 13, Lucy has toured the country playing music–from busking in the streets of New Orleans to securing coveted festival slots.

Upon moving to Brooklyn in 2006, Lucy teamed up with the lauded multi- instrumentalist, Jason Crosby. (Robert Randolph, Susan Tedeschi, Phil Lesh, Bob Weir). Lucy has opened sold-out shows for Grammy Award winners G, Love, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Shawn Colvin. At the age of 19 Lucy was asked to kick off the Gathering of the Vibes music festival, with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead headlining. Lucy has also shared the stage with: Reid Genauer & the Assembly of Dust, Joe Russo (Furthur), Hagar Ben Ari (Dap Kings), Malcolm Cecil (Stevie Wonder), Bob Coons & Marty Holland of the JGB, The Jazz Mandolin Project, Max Creek, and many others. She is equally at ease in small dive bars as she is performing in front of thousands.

Currently based in Ithaca, NY, Lucy splits her time between attending births as a midwife and traveling the country playing music.
