Throughout the years, the Vibes has built a reputation on being home to a series of collaborative sets that feature musical icons from every corner of the jam band scene. This particular set has been hand crafted with love, and designed for a once in a lifetime musical event that is not to be missed.

The Vibes 20th Anniversary Spectacular!

Depending on how you look at it, it’s been two decades or twenty years or 7,300 days between the first time we danced together at Suny Purchase and now, the 20th Anniversary Gathering of the Vibes at Seaside Park, July 30-August 2, 2015. Thinking bout the many summers we’ve shared, all the different venues and line-ups, presented us with a truly noble task – create the ultimate 20th Anniversary jam and celebrate the VibeTribe.

First we needed a band leader, and that part was easy: Warren Haynes.
Gov’t Mule, The Warren Haynes Band, Allman Brothers, The Dead, Phil Lesh & Friends…if we are naming Warren Haynes projects, we’re just getting started. Reaching near folklore proportions, Warren is the ultimate musician’s musician, one whose name is ubiquitous within the collaborative jam band culture.

His latest project, an album recorded with rock-grass powerhouse Railroad Earth, dropped May 19th, and is a dynamic combination of “an amplified string band with drums”, electric bluegrass, and thoughtful improvisation. Mandolin/bouzouki player John Skehan points out, “Our M.O. has always been that we can improvise all day long, but we only do it in service to the song.
