The Rules

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE RULES TO VIBE BY:
There aren't many, but please respect the few rules that we do have. We ask that you pass this info on to your friends who are attending Gathering of the Vibes for the first time. Please treat those around you with the same respect you'd like them to show you.

BALLOON BAN AT VIBES!!!
In our continuing effort to completely remove the sale and use of nitrous oxide from the Vibes, in 2010 we will not allow any balloons at the festival. This not only includes balloons that would be used for nitrous, but also: water balloons, mylar balloons, etc. If you are caught with a balloon, you will be ejected from the festival.

NO GLASS BOTTLES
Gathering of the Vibes has a strict NO GLASS policy. Upon entry, ALL VEHICLES WILL BE SEARCHED. Please bring beverages in cans or plastic containers only. Your safety is our #1 concern and nobody likes cut feet.

BEER/COOLERS
If you are 21 years of age or older, you will be permitted to bring canned beer with you to enjoy at your campsite - not outside of the camping areas and not in the general assembly areas. Please have your ID ready. Again...NO GLASS BOTTLES! If you have alcohol and are under 21, it will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave the Vibes. Just like anywhere else, we will not allow underage drinking. You are not allowed to bring beer balls or kegs to Vibes. You will also not be able to bring coolers or pre-purchased beer from the camping areas into the general assembly areas; please leave both at your campsite to enjoy when you're chillin' between sets.

NO CONTRABAND!!!
No weapons, N2O, or illegal substances of any kind. NO KIDDING! (please remove baseball bats, hatchets, knives over 3", hammers, and certain other tools from your car)

UPON ENTRY
All vehicles, packs, coolers, and persons will be searched. Glass bottles, pets, fireworks, weapons, N2O, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Please don't bring anything that could get you or us into trouble.

BOX TRUCKS
Sorry but Box Trucks will not be allowed in the campgrounds. This includes rental trucks such as U-Haul moving trucks. We do ask you to please leave your work truck at home if it is fully packed with your work equipment, this makes searching vehicles very difficult and time consuming. Tools that can be used as weapons will be confiscated.

DISTRIBUTE TICKETS BEFORE ARRIVING AT FESTIVAL

If you have your friends' tickets, please make sure to get them distributed in advance. Do not make plans to meet at the venue, as there is no convenient place near the site to pull over and meet up.

NO PETS
Again, you will not be allowed into the festival with your beloved dog, cat, iguana, snake, ferret, turtle, llama, sheep, or any other non-human species - even if you have a ticket for them! Please make other non-Vibes provisions for your pets. Here is a link for kennels in the area. Call in advance for information and reservations.

PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES
The City of Bridgeport has been kind enough to supply us with garbage and recycling containers. The City will also be providing the Vibes with garbage and recycling removal each morning. Please give them a hand and bring your trash to the designated pick up spots throughout the venue. The Vibes Staff is responsible for cleaning the park of every last butt, so give us a hand and toss your butts! Thank you!

YOU MUST HAVE A VENDING LICENSE TO SELL ANYTHING
You may not sell things at the Vibes if you do not have a vending license. That includes jewelry, clothing, food, drinks, crystals, wraps, CDs, beer/alcohol, or any other goods or services you might get paid for. If you are interested in becoming a registered craft or food vendor, please check out either our Food Vendor page or our Craft Vendor page for additional information.

NO OPEN FIRES
No open fires will be permitted. It's for everyone's safety. Charcoal grills are OK. You will also be allowed to use propane grills. All propane cylinders must be recertified 12 years after manufacture date and every 5 years there after (see you local propane dealer for more details). No tanks over 20 lbs (5 gallons) will be allowed in. Anyone bringing in a grill must carry a fire extinguisher that is in working order with the gauge in the green zone.Tiki torches are considered an open fire and will not be permitted. Attendees are required to have a fire extinguisher in their vehicle if they bring propane grills, lanterns, or other flammable liquid fuel.

NO GENERATORS
Due to the fact that RVs 25' and under will be camping in the general camping areas, we need to let you know that generators will not be allowed to run. It is not safe to allow generators in regular camping areas. Only RVs in the RV area will be permitted to use generators.

SHADE TENTS/CHAIRS
Regarding chairs, tents and shade canopies on the concert field - We want everyone to enjoy as much of an unobstructed view as possible, and to offer you all enough space to dance and/or sit when you wish. With that said... chairs will be allowed on the concert field, but only behind the soundboard. Tents and canopies will only be permitted behind the track at the very back of the concert field. There will also be some trees and shade in the back of the net assembly area, near concessions, where music can still be heard.

THE FINAL RULE IS THE GOLDEN RULE
When you arrive at Gathering of the Vibes (or any other festival for that matter) please respect each other, the staff and the local community. The City of Bridgeport has been kind enough to host Gathering of the Vibes at Seaside Park once again so let's create a memorable, trouble-free weekend together!
