General Ticket Information

How do I buy Tickets?

Click the button below to buy your tickets.

How do I refund my ticket?

We are truly sorry that you won’t be able to join us. Unfortunately, there are no refunds. The event is rain or shine. The purchaser and/or bearer of a ticket understands that he/she is purchasing this ticket to the festival and not a particular artist’s performance. The festival is outdoors and weather conditions will affect the performances of all entertainers and there is a possibility that a particular performer may not be able to perform due to weather conditions. Thus, the purchaser and/or bearer of the ticket understands, acknowledges and will not expect a refund for the purchase of the ticket for any talent cancellations for any reason. Talent line-up and schedule are subject to change at any time. In other words, there are no refunds. Closer to the event, visit our Facebook page and message board, you may have some luck selling your ticket there!

Weekend Camping Passes

What does the Weekend Camping Pass include? Do I need another ticket to get into the concert area?

Your Weekend Camping Pass enables you to camp, see all the music on every stage — including the Late Night Stage — plus all the vendors, roaming performers, and good times the Vibes has to offer. If you want to come in and start camping on Thursday, please read the “Thursday Arrival” section below.

I only want to camp for one night. Do I still need to purchase the whole Weekend Camping Pass?

Yes, if you want to camp for even just one night, you need to purchase a Weekend Camping Pass. We do not have one-night camping options but, take our word for it, once you’re camped, you will want to stay!

Tell me about the Thursday Early-Entry fee. What’s the deal?

For Weekend Campers we offer Thursday entry as a bonus day to come in and get set-up and see some music. If you choose to come in on Thursday, there is an additional $20 per VEHICLE parking fee, payable on site (this includes cars and RV’s). This fee is in addition to your Weekend Camping Pass.

If you have a VIP Weekend Camping Pass, there is no charge for early entry. Early entry ends at Midnight on Thursday night (into Friday morning). EVERYONE in the car must have a Weekend Camping Pass.

If you walk, ride a bike, skate board, catch a bus, taxi or camel into the Vibes, then there is no additional parking fee! You must have a Weekend Camping Pass for Thursday, regardless.

What does my RV Pass include? Do I also need to purchase Camping Passes?

Your RV Pass allows you to bring in your RV or other combined car-pulling-a-trailer set-up that is 25 feet or more in length. Each person who enters in the RV must also have a Weekend Camping Pass (including the driver). Did we mention that RV Passes are sold on a first-come-first-served basis and sell out quickly?! There are no specific location reservations for RV parking. This includes VIP RV Pass holders.

Is the Weekend Camping Pass per vehicle, or per person?

Everyone in your vehicle must have their own Weekend Camping Pass to enter the venue. Weekend Camping Passes will be on sale at the gate, provided we do not sell out.

I want a sweet Vibes souvenir ticket for my collection, How can I get one?

We have a SICK commemorative ticket waiting for you at the Vibes Merch Tent. Just pop over to the big white tent, at the entrance to the main concert field, to snag one!

I am thinking of buying a ticket from a friend, off Craigslist, E-bay, or other. Is that a good idea?

We strongly recommend that you only purchase tickets from the Gathering of the Vibes website. Exercise extreme caution when considering purchasing from an unknown source, as each print-at-home ticket has a unique bar code. Once scanned, the ticket is void.

DON’T GET SCAMMED

It doesn’t matter whose name is on the ticket; if the ticket comes up having already been scanned at the gate, you will need to purchase a new ticket at the full price.

I ordered my tickets online and have not received them yet. What should I do?

Your ticket confirmation and print-at-home tickets (two e-mails), will generally appear in your inbox within three hours after you place your order and should take no more than 24 hours.

It goes a little something like this:

1. Once you place your order we will e-mail you both a confirmation e-mail and the actual ticket(s) (Note: these are two separate e-mails that may not arrive at the same time)
2. Your confirmation e-mail will contain your purchasing information
3. Your ticket comes as an PDF attachment that you need to print out and bring to the show. If you ordered more than one ticket, your e-mail will contain more than one ticket PDF attachment.

If you do not receive both e-mails, please check your spam, junk mail, and trash folders in case they ended up there. If you do not receive both emails along with your tickets within one day of purchase, please call the office at (203) 908-3030.

Can I choose where I camp? Or reserve a space ahead of time?

For general camping, there is no way to determine where you will be camped until you get to Vibes.

I don’t have kids but I want a quieter camping experience. Should I camp in Family Camping?

You may camp in Family Camping but this does not guarantee it will be quiet! There will be very young children who most likely wake up early, babies crying at night, etc. It will be a different camping experience, but not necessarily “quiet”. If you want to sign up, please see the instructions for Family Camping.

I would like to camp in a sober area. How can I do this?

Every year, the Wharf Rats set up a sober camp somewhere in the Family Camping area. This year, we are going to pre-register folks for sober camp using the form below.

We are sorry but Sober camping is closed for 2014. Please check back after our new website goes up for 2015 for Family camping sign ups.

We can no longer accept applications, as Handy camping is now full. If you already have a Handy camping space, and require assistance, please call our 24/7 hotline at (203) 908-3030.

These spots fill up very quickly each year, and we do our best to try to accommodate as many people as possible. We recommend bookmarking, this page and checking back early in 2015 to submit your application.

What is the difference between Campgrounds, Concert Area/Net Assembly and Festival Grounds?

Campgrounds are the areas where you camp and can only access with a Weekend or VIP Camping Pass. Concert Areas and Net Assembly are where the stages are and are accessible by anyone with the appropriate Day Ticket or Weekend Camping Pass. Festival Grounds is everywhere! While you may bring outside food and beverage into the Campgrounds, you may not bring any outside food or beverages into the designated Concert Areas. Things that are prohibited on the Festival Grounds, are not allowed anywhere! (see Water rules for exceptions)

I want to leave Vibes on foot to get more supplies/food/beer.

You are welcome to leave site as you wish to get more supplies. (On foot is a great choice, we also recommend local taxi-cabs, as leaving and reentering via car is prohibited).

However, please keep in mind, we do not allow outside food, coolers or alcohol of any kind into the general attendee/concert area, this is only permitted in the camping areas. Once you are done with your excursion, if you are camping on the East Side of the festival please enter at North Grove Box office, near the Arches, and go directly into the campground with your cooler or alcohol. Likewise, if you are camping on the West Side, you have to enter on the West. You may either return to the Arches and take a shuttle over or have your taxi-cab driver drop you off at the Mid-West Camping Entrance.

Don’t forget to leave your wristband on! You will not be allowed back in with a wristband that has been removed, cut, etc.

What about open-pit campfires, tiki torches, and chinese lanterns?

For everyone’s safety we cannot allow open-pit campfires, tiki torches or chinese lanterns. You may, however, bring charcoal and/or propane grills and stoves to cook on. They must be accompanied by a fire extinguisher that is valid for 2013. Please see grilling question above.

What are my grilling and/or stove options?

Both charcoal and propane grills are permitted. All propane cylinders must be sized 20 pounds (5 gallons) or less and must be certified. All propane cylinders must be re-certified 12 years after manufacture date and every 5 years thereafter (see you local propane dealer for more details). Any grill or stove must be accompanied by a fire extinguisher that is valid for 2013.

Can I camp Sunday night and leave first thing Monday morning?

Everyone must leave on Sunday evening, after the Main Stage music ends. Sadly, there are no exceptions.

Can I camp with my friends?

Sure! If you want to camp with your friends, you must caravan to the show and drive in together.

Can I camp next to my car?

As much as possible we will try to camp everyone next to their car, space and weather permitting

Can I camp if I’m just coming for one day? I will leave first thing in the morning.

In order to camp even one night at Vibes, you must purchase a Weekend Camping Pass. Single-Day Tickets do not allow access to the campgrounds.

Is the Weekend Camping Pass per vehicle, or per person?

Everyone in your vehicle must have their own Weekend Camping Pass to enter the venue. Weekend Camping Passes will be on sale at the gate, provided we do not sell out.

We encourage these alternatives:

RVs

There are no reservations for specific RV locations. Once you get to Vibes, you will be directed to your RV space. Specific spaces may not be reserved ahead of time even if you have additional parking passes, such as Family, Boardie, etc. Remember, in order to bring a RV to Vibes, you must purchase an RV parking pass beforehand. Everyone traveling/camping in the RV must also purchase a Weekend Camping Pass.

What if my RV is under 25 feet long?

If your RV is under 25 feet long, bumper to bumper (including the tow vehicle), you do not need to purchase an RV Pass and you may camp in the general camping areas; however, per city fire code, no generators are permitted within the general camping area. If you have a generator you must purchase a RV Pass.

I want to bring my RV or Camper, do I need an RV Pass?

Any RV or combined car-pulling-a-trailer set-up that is over 25 feet in length must purchase a RV Pass. RV Passes are sold on a first-come-first-served basis and sell-out quickly. Remember that each person in the RV must also have a Weekend Camping Pass (including the driver).

I have a pop-up trailer. Can I bring that in without an RV Pass?

If the combined length of your car (or truck) plus the length of the trailer are under 25 feet long, you do not need an RV Pass. We do NOT count the trailer only. We measure combined length beginning from your vehicle’s front bumper to the very back of the trailer.

Tell me about the Thursday Early-Entry fee. What’s the deal?

If you have a VIP Weekend Camping Pass, there is no charge for early entry. Early entry ends at Midnight on Thursday night (into Friday morning). EVERYONE in the car must have a Weekend Camping Pass.

If you need to leave Thursday evening, please plan to leave your car outside of the venue in one of our Day Parking lots and take a shuttle.

The safety of your fellow VibeTribe comes first!

We encourage these alternatives:

  • Park in the Day Parking Lots and take the Shuttle
  • Take a cab from the Arches area to and from your off site location

These methods are much safer for all attendees

What is the GPS address for Seaside Park?

We discourage use of your GPS since we actually change the direction of a couple of one-way streets. Please check the link in the answer above closer to show time for up to date directions.

What else happens at Gathering of the Vibes besides music?

Other than music, we offer unique vending, kids friendly activities, nonprofit outreach, art exhibits and sales, greening and humanities education, musician workshops, and more.
